The Carmelo trade while interesting, doesn't really matter that much to me. I have always been a Bulls fan, and the fact that it makes the Knicks better upsets me and makes me happy at the same time. I love rivalries and they very likely could be a first round match up. I feel bad that all the best players are getting together on the same teams, but I think it will make everything more interesting in the long run. I don't really care what market teams are from thats more for advertisers and television stations to worry about. I just love basketball and high quality play. I would be totally fine if the league contracted 5 to 6 teams and everyone got to draft players from the eliminated teams. The league is loaded with talent already and if you add a Kevin Love or Blake Griffin to a decent team they'll be an immediate contender.
Deron Williams going to the Nets is kind of upsetting to me. He is one of my favorite players and now he belongs to one of the worst teams in basketball. They also traded away what few assests they have. Although I'm not crazy about Favors or Harris I like them alot more than Farmar and Morrow. Brook Lopez is a nice piece but still would have to be a third or fourth option on a good team.
The Bulls did a nice little trade and got rid of little used James Johnson for a first round pick from Toronto. Unfortunately its actually the Heats pick, but it still will help. The Bulls probably aren't gonna win the championship this year and it would be nice if they could steal a decent shooting guard in the first round and finally have a true shooter/defensive stopper on the roster.
